Seven different types of flowers with no thorny leaves, each of various colors.

Brooms, mops, pail, wipe clothes etc. (Get new ones for the new year)
Garbage bags and boxes.

General Spring Cleaning Guidelines
Thoroughly wash all major areas, including the four corners and eight sectors of your living space. Ensure there are no rusty items and eliminate negative elements in your auspicious sectors.
Open all windows, doors, cabinets, and drawers - let fresh air flow through your room.
Consider changing blinds or curtains. Otherwise, wash or wipe them down thoroughly.
Pay special attention to corners, grooves, under your furniture, and other hidden areas during your cleaning.
Clean the toilet, bathroom and kitchen surfaces.
Dust tends to accumulate on fans, air conditioners, and air filters, so make sure to clean these devices thoroughly.
Clean any old antiques to prevent them from holding onto negative energy or memories.
Repair any holes or cracks in walls or furniture using putty to eliminate negative influences.
Sweep and mop the floors before Chinese New Year. It is considered bad luck to be cleaning or sweeping during the first 2 days of CNY.
For extra huat - Decorate your home with Chinese New Year decorations such as red lanterns, paper cutouts, and plant decorations. You can also add Kum Guat or golden lime plants for a decorative touch.
Going into details - Bedroom Cleaning
The bedroom is a crucial part of spring cleaning as it affects personal relationships, well-being, and mental health.
Some bedroom cleaning guidelines for your reference:
Open all cabinets in the bedroom.
Sort through old clothing and items that need purification or disposal
Declutter your wardrobe and shoe cabinet, ensuring that the cabinet's interior is exposed to fresh air.
Perform a thorough cleaning.
Clean under the bed frame (if applicable) and consider smudging the area.
Remove any sharp objects (internal sha qi) facing the bed.
Avoid placing plants inside the bedroom as it is mostly yin energy.
Vacuum carpets and areas with a high dust volume.
Replace bed sheets, pillow covers, and other bed linens.
Kitchen & Storage Cleaning
The kitchen is a vital area for your family’s health, so follow these essential steps:
Clean all detachable parts of the stove.
Check cups, plates, and other kitchenware for cracks, rust or potential health hazards.
Consider smudging the internal cabinets and wash them thoroughly with a cleaning mixture.
Discard unwanted or expired food items, especially in the fridge. Out of sight doesn’t mean out of mind!
Replace old plastic bags and containers with new, better-quality ones. Wash your recyclable bags!
Cleaning the exterior of your house
After completing the interior cleaning of your house, it's time to focus on the exterior:
Dispose of old items, cracked flower pots and any other storage containers.
Ensure that old water containers are emptied before the new year.
Clean the gate and door, do touch up paint works where required. Your entrance signifies the mouth/gateway where qi and abundance enters.
Address any potential water leakages that may have occurred.
Clear and cover drainage systems once the cleaning is finished.
Trim plants as needed to facilitate the flow of good energy or qi into your home.
Remove any old, rusty, stained items, as well as dangerous sharp objects that could bring negative energy (sha qi).
House Purification
After the exterior cleaning, it's time to neutralize and purify your home:
Open all windows and doors to allow the free flow of qi throughout your space.
Ideally, perform this purification when the sunlight fills your house thoroughly.
Turn on all the lights, especially in areas that tend to be darker.
Open all cabinet doors.
Take out any energetic items such as crystals, figurines, statues or relics and place them in the sunlight (use salt or water for crystals that cannot go under the sun) to cleanse and recharge.
Use smoke or mist cleansing with materials like White Sage, Palo Santo, Frankincense, Sandalwood, or similar herbs to purify the house, including internal cabinets, storage rooms, and dark areas.
Use a fan to help circulate the energy throughout the house, ensuring it flows in and out.
Consider using a Tibetan metal singing bowl or Tingsha to vibrate and harmonize the entire house, paying attention to all the corners and areas both inside and outside.

Once you've completed these steps, consider using pure essential oils to diffuse or spray, creating a pleasant and positive atmosphere in your home as you enter!
Take time out if possible for a mental decluttering via journaling, writing down what you would like to let go of in your life, tearing up the papers or burning them in a more ritualistic manner. Regardless, your home and your life deserves a fresh start.
Happy Spring Cleaning!
